Pleasanton, CaliforniaWe are seeking a motivated Junior Software Developer to join our Software and Development team. As a Junior Software Developer, you will be an integral part of our team, contributing to the development and enhancement of various systems critical to our operations. You will be responsible for designing, upgrading, and building new software components while providing outstanding technical support.
Responsibilities:
- Utilize your expertise in Object-Oriented programming (Java, C#, .NET) to contribute to software development projects.
- Collaborate with the team to design and develop web UI, relational databases (SQL), XML, and application architecture.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and demonstrate problem-solving skills to ensure efficient resolutions.
- Understand and prioritize tasks in a dynamic work environment, displaying sound business judgment.
- Provide exceptional customer service, addressing customer needs and ensuring satisfaction.
- Investigate, diagnose, and troubleshoot technical issues in back office and desktop applications.
- Utilize SQL tools to perform database interrogations, identify data discrepancies, and offer data fixes.
- Contribute to the maintenance of internal support documentation and knowledge base.
- Communicate technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Monitor and manage tickets, escalating issues to senior staff as necessary.
- Participate in learning and supporting new technologies and products as they are introduced.
- Collaborate on team Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and objectives.
Qualifications:
- 2-4 years of experience in software development.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (VBScript, JavaScript, PHP, Python, Perl, etc.).
- Knowledge of relational databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, MariaDB, Oracle, etc.).
- Experience with version control software such as Git and GitHub is a plus.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Analytical mindset and keen attention to detail.
- Effective team player with a collaborative approach.
