Trial Paralegal
LHH has partnered with a prominent plaintiff personal injury and employment law firm located in Los Angeles in seeking a skilled Trial Paralegal. In this role the Trial Paralegal will contribute to trial preparation and litigation support of three attorneys. This role involves pre-trial preparation, organization, and assisting with complex trial proceedings. The ideal candidate will possess a solid background in trial preparation, exceptional organizational abilities, and a keen attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate closely with attorneys to meticulously prepare for upcoming trials, which includes tailoring trial binders to align with specific court requirements.
Oversee the comprehensive discovery process by both propounding and responding to discovery requests.
Ensure the seamless management of a well-structured calendar to meet all litigation deadlines promptly.
Efficiently manage tasks involving pleadings, deposition notices, and objections with a high degree of effectiveness.
Play an integral role in subpoena preparation and offer assistance for related responsibilities.
Work collaboratively with our legal assistant and provide support in the event of filing needs.
Contribute actively to lien negotiations alongside our dedicated case manager.
Leverage your extensive experience to enhance trial preparation and coordination efforts.
Participate in Continuing Legal Education (CLE) events, benefiting from membership to local organizations.
Qualifications:
Showcase a proven track record of participating in 3-5 trials, exemplifying your adeptness in trial preparation.
While not mandatory, a paralegal certificate is valued and considered a positive attribute.
Demonstrate substantial proficiency in trial preparation, discovery procedures, and calendar management.
Display competence in skillfully organizing trial binders and related materials integral to trial proceedings.
Possess a robust comprehension of legal protocols, particularly within the realm of plaintiff personal injury and employment cases.
Exhibit a meticulous and detail-oriented approach coupled with exceptional time management abilities.
Display effective communication skills and a collaborative mindset, vital for seamless teamwork with attorneys and the legal department.
Utilize your prowess in legal software and case management tools to streamline and optimize processes.
Benefits and Compensation:
The annual salary is estimated to be $85,000 - $95,000, commensurate with experience, and benefits may include medical, dental, vision, etc.
