Client Description:


Our client is a global design and manufacturing company, in space exploration, commercial air travel, defense and rescue applications components.


The Aerospace Engineering team, develop new products and challenge the state of art technology.


 The company is organizing on businesses and functions, while improving the productivity, quality and efficiency of our products worldwide.




Responsibilities:


The Project Lead Engineer collaborate to engineering team to conduct the engineering project through all the technical activities: design, development and qualification testing of new mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems products.


· Act as project technical focal point for the customer and all internal stakeholders.


· Coordinate and lead all engineering project members, including design, validation, stress, reliability and qualification functions, to perform all the required technical activities up to Qualification completion within required schedule and cost.


· Work with the Program Manager to eliminate blockers and solve issues and represent engineering function during program reviews.


· Collaborate with organizations support (manufacturing, operation, quality and supply chain) to accomplish project schedule and completion of scope.


· Conduct internal and external design reviews and ensure that all project engineering activities are executed in compliance with all applicable standard work and procedures.


· Define project schedule and WBS and work with functional managers to plan engineering resources in support of project scope and schedule.


· Perform project schedule and overall financial control and report regularly on project status.


· Identify, manage and document technical project issues, risks and relative mitigation or resolution actions.


· Capture all technical customer changes respect to the authorized project scope (requirements, schedule or scope changes) and estimate the cost and schedule impact associate to the implementation of the change.


· Be active part of the lessons learned process aimed to collect lessons learned throughout the life of the project, collaborate to flow back learning into applicable Standard Work and procedures and to share lessons learned among engineering members.




Candidate Profile:


· Master’s degree in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering


· Required 4+ years of Engineering experience in an aerospace and experience in complex projects


· Experience in Project Management


· Good knowledge of product design and development processes


· Good knowledge of project management techniques, including scheduling, EVMS and risk management, PMP certification


· Team player, demonstrating positive and collaborative attitude


· Strong communication, presentation, and facilitation skills


· Solid organizational skills,


· Ability to work with deadlines on client’s qualification product
